Police Puppy Named After Public Vote - Captain Thomas Moore

A police force has paid tribute to Captain Thomas Moore by naming a puppy after him. Captain Tom is only two months old but has already captured the nation's hearts. Captain Tom is a Dutch Herder, the breed was originally used by shepherds and farmers. 

The young pup will soon be in training as learns how to become a police dog.
His name was chosen by way of a vote which the public took part in. The name Captain Thomas Moore was the most popular for obvious reasons. Other puppies from the litter will be named tomorrow.
